Vidin is a host of a project for cross-border…
Exchange of experience between employees and specialists from the Municipality of Vidin and the municipality of Zajecar was held today in the conference hall of Hotel “Bononia”. The event is in connection with the implementation of Project CB007.1.31.304 “Prevention and mitigation of the consequences of man-made cross-border disasters in the Vidin-Zajecar region”. It is funded by the European Union INTERREG Programme for Cross-Border Cooperation Bulgaria and Serbia 2014-2020 with Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.
Leading partner is Municipality of Vidin, and a project partner – Zajecar Municipality. The meeting was opened by Tsvetan Assenov, Deputy Mayor of Vidin Municipality, who greeted all those present on behalf of Ognyan Tsenkov, Mayor of the Municipality: “Allow me to welcome with the organization of today ‘s event. I would like to express my satisfaction that the two Vidin and Zajecar municipalities are working in partnership. The implementation of this project will bring benefits for both regions. Our Municipality has already received the necessary equipment for waste collection and landfill cleaning – 2 waste picking machines, which will help and improve the efficiency of the Municipal Unit “Cleanness”. I wish good luck and good luck” Asenov said.
The project will be completed by the end of 2018.
The event will continue in two days – 4th and 5th of June.
